Board Members
Our Board members, who come from all walks of life and
backgrounds, are committed to economic opportunity for
all Texas families.
Fred I. Lewis (Austin) founded
and chairs Texans Together Education Fund. He is a
public interest attorney and non-profit leader who has
been engaged in grassroots education and advocacy for
years.
James Aldrete (Austin) is
president of Message, Audience and Presentation,
a political communications company. He has won many
awards for his political work and is considered one
of the “up-and-coming Democratic political campaign
consultants in the state.” Texas Observer (Nov.
19, 2004).
John Donisi (Austin) is
an attorney with the Austin/San Antonio firm of Drenner & Golden
Stuart Wolff . He has served as Special Assistant
to Texas Governor Ann Richards, General Counsel
to the Texas Senate’s Jurisprudence Committee,
and Chief of Staff to State Senator Rodney Ellis.
Cris Feldman (Houston) practices
civil litigation in Houston. He has won many awards
for leading the successful civil lawsuit against Tom
Delay’s
TRMPAC that exposed corporate politcal corruption in
Texas. He was a community organizer before attending
law school.
Keir Murray (Houston) is
the founder and principal of KLM consulting, a political,
public affairs, public opinion and communications consulting
firm. He has served as a consultant to the Mayor
of Houston, Houston Community College, Houston Metro,
and many campaigns.
Andres Pereira (Houston) practices
mass tort litigation at Fleming & Associates. He
has worked in a number of political campaigns, including
fundraising for Ann Richards and doing field work for
the late Billie Carr and Sue Lovell.
Keith Wade
(Houston) has been involved
in community and political organizing for 30 years in
Houston, including running 3 congressional offices and
more than 50 area campaigns.
Kelli White (Austin) has
spent 25 years leading and growing community-based,
non-profit corporations, including 10 years as head
of SafePlace and as Interim Executive Director of Annie’s
List.
Elyse Yates (Austin) leads
her own consulting group, I&O Communications, focusing
on media relations, strategic planning, and coalition-building.
She served as deputy spokesperson for Governor Richards
and currently serves as Board Chair for the local Planned
Parenthood affiliate.
