Aldine Young Families Project Provides solutions to the challenges of becoming a young parent
Becoming a parent as a teenager stacks the odds against the young parents and their children. The
statistics are frightening. Instants of abuse, neglect, malnutrition,
and living in poverty are much higher for both parent and child.
The
Young Families Project provides solutions to the challenges of becoming
a young parent. Incorporating early education, higher education,
after-school enrichment, life skill training, and access to
preventative health care, this project puts young families on the path
to success.
Dedicated
to this project, young families on our staff worked hard to put
together a documentary showcasing the hardships other young families
deal with on a daily basis. Insightful interviews, intriguing
conversations and real life occurences are a must see in our Young Families Project documentary.
